History

Chipping Norton Railway Club was founded in 1974 by local enthusiasts John Brice and John Dyer, who remain members to this day. Despite the fact that Chipping Norton is only a small town, and lost its rail connection in 1964 the Club has continued to attract enthusiasts from around Oxfordshire to its monthly meetings.

Activities

The Club meets on the first Tuesday of the month, in the Town Hall, Market Place, Chipping Norton. Meetings start at 7.30pm and finish around 9.30-10.00pm. Free coffee and tea are available during the interval. Non-members are welcome to attend on payment of a visitors fee.

The Club organises two coach trips a year, see below.

Membership

A years membership costs £10 and runs from February to February. To join just come along or for more information e-mail john@evenlode.demon.co.uk or ring one of the Club officials listed below.
